Overview
Gemini is an assistant that connects to the apps and services on your Google Account to help you with tasks, research, and daily workflow. When you sign in a device to access Gemini, make sure you use official sign-in flows, protect your credentials with two-step verification, and only grant the permissions you trust.
(This slide is informational — follow the official links at the end for live sign-in pages and support.)
Quick sign-in steps
Step 1 — Start at the official site (web or app)
Navigate to the Gemini site or the Google Accounts sign-in page and select Sign in. Avoid clicking on links from untrusted emails or messages. Use the browser address bar to confirm you're on a trusted domain.
Step 2 — Choose account & enter credentials
Select your Google account (or enter your email), then your password. If prompted for additional steps (2-Step Verification), follow the on-screen instructions — this is essential for account safety.
Step 3 — Device checks & permissions
Review any permission requests carefully. If an app or device asks for account access, check which data it will see. Remove access for apps you no longer use from your Google Account settings.

Security best practices
Use two-step verification
Enable 2FA (authenticator apps or security keys are preferred) to greatly reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
Keep devices updated
Install system and app updates, and remove unused accounts from devices before passing them on.
Recognize phishing
Never provide your password in response to email requests. Verify sender domains, and prefer typing the site URL manually.
